William Brian Dukes

William Brian Dukes 56, of Lafayette, IN, passed away 7:25 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2013 in St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. Born July 12, 1957 in Frankfort, IN to William Brank & Barbara L. (Wells) Dukes. He married Linda A. Freeman on July 11, 1987 and they later divorced. Mr. Dukes formerly worked as a Correctional Officer for the State of Indiana. He was a 1977 Graduate of Rossville (IN) High School and attended the former Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Cambria, IN.

Visitation and Services

Services will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Goodwin Funeral Home, to assist the Dukes family with final expenses.

Mother: Barbara L. Wells of Frankfort, Daughter: Kayla M. Espinoza of Lafayette, 2 Sons: Brian A. Dukes of Yorktown, IN, Jonathan M. Dukes of Middletown, IN, 1 Stepson: Danny A. Freeman of Flora, IN, Sister: Sherri L. Espey of Frankfort, IN, Niece: Carrie Land of Frankfort, IN, 3 Granddaughters: Jazzmine Dukes, Laura Espinoza Dukes & Adriana Espinoza Dukes.

Preceded by:

His father-William Brank Dukes and his brother Jerry Allen Dukes.

    I am so sorry for your loss, I know what it’s like to lose a parent. May God bless and be with you forever. Remember he is in a better place and he is no longer suffering and you will meet again some day. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Uncle Brian is and was a very wonderful man, who helped raise me. Our family is gonna miss him so very much.

    So sorry to hear about your loss!!! Brian was an awesome brother-in-law he was always so happy & I’ll miss his sense of humor so much!!!! We always had so much fun when he was over at the house. Thoughts & prayers are always wit you!!! He is home now & not suffering anymore!! Love you all bunches!!!!
