Wanda S. Spitalniak 98 of Frankfort, IN, died at 9:10 p.m. June 10, 2012 at Mulberry Health & Retirement Center. Born September 21, 1913 in Philadelphia, PA to Walter & Stella (Jankowska) Sienkiewicz . She married Michael F. Spitalniak on July 4, 1936 and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Spitalniak was born and raised in Philadelphia. She moved to Frankfort in 1959 when she was transferred to the Peter Paul plant here. She was a supervisor there for 44 years, retiring in 1975. She had also lived in Noblesville. Her memberships include; St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was involved in Our Ladies of Charity and the Alter and Rosary Society there, member of the Women of the Moose and American Legion Auxiliary. Mrs. Spitalniak was a pink lady at the Clinton County hospital for many years, enjoyed bowling and ceramics and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home with a Rosary Service beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Donations may be made to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

1 Daughter-in-law: Janice Spitalniak of Lafayette
3 Grandchildren, Cindi (Damon) Melcho, Rob (Kathy) Spitalniak and Christa (John) Gates
6 Great Grandchildren, Kayla, Becca, Ashley, Austin, Amanda and Nicholas

I want to express my sincere condolences over Wanda’s passing. She was a perfect role model regarding Christ & family values. Heaven was immediately blessed upon her arrival.
You are very fortunate to have had such a person in your life. I am very fortunate to have had her in my life as well. And it be thanks to her, and thanks to you & Judi, that Wanda was in my life. For that, I am forever grateful!
