Virginia J. Donoho

Virginia J. “Scamp & Jo” Donoho, 92, of Frankfort, died at 9:07 p.m. September 10, 2017 at I.U. Health Frankfort.  Born June 5, 1925 in Clinton County, Indiana to Ora E. and Elizabeth Irene (Ballingall) Harmon.  She married Robert L. Albaugh on December 19, 1941 and they divorced.  She married Charles “Chalk” C. Donoho on June 2, 1974 and he preceded her in death in 1981. Virginia attended Frankfort High School and was a lifelong Frankfort resident.  She retired after 30 years from the Community Schools of Frankfort, where she worked in the cafeteria.  She then worked for 5 years at Engine Company 59 as a head cook.  Virginia was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  She loved her dogs, Punkin Jo, PeggySu and GraycieMae.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 600 St. Mary’s Ave., Frankfort. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society.

Daughter: Vicki L. Albaugh of rural Frankfort, 2 Sons: Robert Van Albaugh of Frankfort and Timmy J. (Connie) Albaugh of rural Frankfort, Daughter-in-Law: Sharon Albaugh of Ladoga, 1 Brother: Gary (Carol) Harmon of Kokomo, 4 Sisters-in-Law: Kitty Harmon, Rosetta Harmon, Barbara Harmon and Carol Harmon, 8 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren.

Preceded by:

a son, Larry Albaugh, a sister, Mary Lou and 4 brothers, Jim, Bob, Walter & Tom Harmon and a grandson Doug Albaugh.

    She was a beautiful person inside and out. I enjoyed caring for. I wished I had known on what day her funeral was, I would have gone. Well maybe I should remember her as I last saw her. Have a good journey and may God show her the way. God bless
