Virginia Beryle Chamales, 94, passed away at 5:50 a.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012 at North Woods Village, Kokomo, IN. She was born on January 4, 1918 to Errol and Lola (Broadstreet) Fulkerson in Frankfort, IN. She married Christopher Chamales on December 27, 1947 in Frankfort and he preceded her in death in 1987. She tremendously loved her family. She was an impeccably dressed lady with a zest for life. She loved to sew, draw and paint. She was a member of Delta Sigma Kappa. Her husband managed a Chicago hotel before retiring to Fort Myers, FL. They enjoyed a life filled with adventuresome trips. Chris was from Greece so they traveled abroad as well. When he died in 1987 she left Florida to live with her sister, Phyllis in their childhood home. She was deeply saddened by the loss of Phyllis four years ago. By grace her Savior, Jesus Christ, took her home to by reunited with her family.
The family is grateful to the staff at North Woods Village in Kokomo for the special care they provided to both sisters.
Visitation and Services
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Goodwin Funeral Home in Frankfort. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Rev. Ernest Batman will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery.
