Vanessa R. Camp 25, of Frankfort, died June 2, 2015 at her home.  Born July 14, 1989 in Logansport, IN to Timothy E. Camp & Donna D. (Hutton) Michael.  Vanessa was a graduate of Frankfort High School and attended Ivy Tech School for nursing. She moved from Logansport to Frankfort and was currently working at Frito-Lay. She loved roller skating, photography and snorkeling. Vanessa also volunteered and enjoyed working with the disabled. Vanessa’s greatest joy and passion were her children.

Visitation and Services

Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Green Lawn Memorial Park. No visitation is planned. Goodwin Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Ability Services.

(Jeffrey) Michael of Frankfort, Father: Tim (Wanda) Camp of Logansport, Paternal Grandmother: Margaret Bowdel of Logansport, Maternal Grandmother: Marjorie Armour of Frankfort, Grandparents: Alan & Patricia Michael of Sheridan, 1 Son: Jaden Camp of Frankfort, 3 Daughters: Teyha Camp of Frankfort, Sarah Corwin of Kokomo, Liberty Corwin of Kokomo, 5 Brothers: Zachary Camp of Logansport, Timothy Camp of Alaska, Cory Camp of Frankfort, Jeffrey Michael of Kokomo, Adam Camp of Cutler and 1 Sister: Elizabeth Michael of Lafayette.

    I am so sorry for the family’s loss. Especially to her children. Vanessa was definitely to young to be taken away. So many memories from our younger days run through my head. She was like a little sister to me. Vanessa will be missed so much but never forgotten. Praying for you all.

    Donna, Marge, Corey and family. I cannot tell you how sorry I was to hear this. I have so many memories and so many pictures of Vanessa with my kids growing up. I had not seen her in many years, but she and your family will always bring back happy memories for me and my family. She was like one of my kids all those years they played together. If there is anything you need, please let me know.

    I’m at a loss for words really. Such a sweet young lady gone way to soon. R.I.P My Friend. I will miss you every time it snows. I will always remember the snowball fight we had at Maple wood that winter. ;( Thinking of the family in their time of mourning.

    I am so sorry to hear this news. I haven’t seen Vanessa in years, but I remember her being such a sweet little girl. I have very fond memories of her running around the neighborhood in Logansport when the kids were all little. Prayers and thoughts to all of you at this difficult time. RIP Vanessa

    I am at a loss for words. Nessa was my son’s first girlfriend. She became a very special part of our family at a young age. Later she brought Trevor and Cory together as brothers. This angel was here for only a short time but the love her light shown on so many she cared about will carry us until we meet again. Fly high angel Nessa. I’ll be looking for that smile on the other side. I love you, angel.
