Trudy A. Ummel 68 of Frankfort, IN, died at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Clinton House. Born December 22, 1943 in Huntingburg, IN, to Truman & Iris (Ladson) Denton. She married James Ummel on February 2, 1963 in Frankfort Baptist Church and he survives. Mrs. Ummel attended Huntingburg High School. She was a supervisor at the Navy Exchange in the Great Lakes and Pensacola Air Stations. Mrs. Ummel also worked as a florist.

Visitation and Services

Graveside services are 2 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2012 at Green Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Husband: James Ummel of Frankfort Daughter: Selena Allen at home Son: Kristin Lopez at home 2 Sisters: Sheila Denton and Debbie Alexander both of Jasper Brother: Mark Denton of the Chicago area

Preceded by:

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mike Denton.

    Oh, the memories the two of us shared, growing up in Huntingburg, not nearly enough. My condolences, and heartfelt sorrow to learn Trudy has passed on.     Trudy and Jim, the names always go together when you think of them….I’m am so sorry for the loss of this wonderful person who seemed to always think of others first. Jim all I can say is talk about her, talk to her and cry whenever you need too. Others of your family can tell you that time is not a healer, but this loved one will always be in your heart. I think we all know how very much you love her. God bless you in this difficult time and if you ever want to talk..please call or email me….Dixie

    Jim, you and Trudy have always been a big part of our lives. I will miss my sister a whole lot. You are my brother and you are really loved. You are a strong man that will continue to give Selena and Christain a good home. I love you, Brother. I know you will miss Trudy as she has been with you, seems like all our lives.
