Tom and I grew up in Boyleston and were 1957 MHS classmates. He was the “cornerstone” of our class as he was always contacting classmates and keeping us up to date on addresses etc. He was a good Christian man and was always trying to help his fellowman. Our condolences to Marlene and his family. He will be missed by many people.

Tom was our Chaplin for the USS Stoddard (DD-566)in which he was committed to all who served aboard our ship and was always there like a true brother.
Tom and Marlene, always stepping up to the front when called upon to help with the chores of our alumni and volunteering their time and effort. Like I said he was a true brother and he will be missed like a brother, Chaplin, Friend and Shipmate. There will be a vacant spot in my heart until we meet again my Friend.

I am so sorry to learn of Tom’s death. He was an enthusiastic go-getter and you could count on him to be there for you in any circumstance. I, too, graduated with Tom in the MHS Class of 1957 and have many fond memories of him. I last worked with him on the 2007 alumni committee when we were the honor class, and he took on more than his fair share of the work to be done because he had ties with so many people. Tom will be missed by many.
