Sue Carol Wright, 88 of rural Frankfort, passed into the arms of the Lord at 8:20 a.m. February 3, 2021 at IU Health, Frankfort. She was born February 19, 1932 in Frankfort, Ind. to Wilbur “Wib” and Helen Snodgrass. She married Bernard “Bernie” Wright on April 11, 1985. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2012.
Sue was a lifelong Frankfort resident and graduated from Frankfort High School in 1950. Sue was a gifted artist and created several paintings and drawings. She and Bernie loved to travel in their RV and visited friends they made all over the country. Her skill as a photographer really shined through with the many photographs of these travels she shared with family and friends. They settled on Key West Florida as their winter retirement home and enjoyed spending time on the beach and with friends at the Key West American Legion.

Brad & Joe, and family:
My heart goes out to all of you, as I can’t imagine the loss that you’re feeling. Sue was such a delight, and truly so caring and loving. I may have only known her for three years, but in that amount of time she became like a grandmother to me, and I loved her with my whole heart! She was so proud of you boys, and loved you and your families dearly. There wasn’t a day that passed that she didn’t share something with me about one of you. Her spirit was contagious and I’m so honored to have been entrusted to care for her. I will miss my sweet Susie Q more than I can put into words. We would sing in the mornings, put on bright lipstick and earrings, and I would always pick out a beautiful scarf to match her outfit – she loved those details! Much love to all of you.

Facebook Twitter GoogleI was so truly blessed to get to know and love this beautiful lady. When I first met her she was bed ridden from her disease but she was a fighter and soon began to get up and do stuff for herself again. She had a big heart. And loved writing in a book every day. Loved all her children and grandchildren. I will truly miss her she was as much family to me as my own family. Rest in peace Sue. Always in my heart.

Facebook Twitter GoogleBrad & Joe,
My heart hurts for both of you. Your mom ALWAYS had wonderful things to say about both of you… she loved you SO much! I have such good memories from my visits with her, bringing her Chinese take out, watching the birds out the window by her chair in the living room, and laughing about anything and everything… what a special lady. You will both be in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Kathy (Lunsford) Burton

Facebook Twitter GoogleI just learned of her passing today when I tried calling. I will miss her dearly yet relieved she is free from the confines of her body. What a wonderful, warm, always smiling person she was. From a very small girl I told her over and over if something happened to my parents I wanted to live with her. She called me her daughter. It was good to visit with her when I was back for my dad‘s passing. She never cease to amaze me, living in such a debilitative state yet always smiling, upbeat. I’ll miss her so.
