Steven Lynn Moore, 46, of rural Frankfort died at 6:45 p.m. June 26, 2016 at his home, following a courageous 9-month battle with colon cancer. He was born August 26, 1969 in Indianapolis, Ind. to Robert “Bob” & Annette (Ream) Moore. He married Misti R. Padgett on August 25, 2007 in New Hope Church in rural Clinton County and she survives. A lifelong Clinton County resident, Steve was a 1988 graduate of Clinton Prairie High School where he loved baseball and was pitcher for the baseball team. He received first responder “EMR” and was firefighter I & II certified. He was a lifelong farmer, a volunteer firefighter for the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department for the past 11 years and was employed by Gander Mountain for the past 5 years. Steve was owner/operator of Moore’s Lawn Mowing Service. He was a member of the New Hope Church, was a 10 year 4-H member and Indiana Volunteer Firefighter’s Association. Steve enjoyed softball, spending time with his family & friends, was an avid Cubs fan, and driving the big red fire tanker 124.
Visitation and Services
Family will receive friends, Friday, July 1, 2016 from 3-8 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, Frankfort, Ind. and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Clinton Prairie High School Field House, 2400 S. CR 450 W., Frankfort. Shan Sheridan will officiate. Burial with Firefighter honors provided by the Perry Township Volunteer Firefighters, will be in Plainview Cemetery, Colfax, Indiana. The family ask that in memory of Steve, donations be made to the Tatum and Leanna Moore educational fund, c/o Goodwin Funeral Home.

Michael Padgett of Frankfort, Sister-in-law: Mindi (Todd) McCollum of Frankfort, 1 grandchild, Novah Allen, 2 grandchildren on the way, niece, Taylor (Daniel) Rose, nephews, Caleb & Payton McCollum, great nephew, Zion McCollum, great niece, Aubrey Rose and many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

his paternal grandparents, Melvin & Leanna Moore & step grandmother, Ruby Moore, maternal grandparents, Vernon “Pete” & Elizabeth “Betty” Ream, brother, Gregory Moore on June 10, 1986 and mother-in-law, Jill Padgett.
Oh Misti…I am praying for all of you. I know how hard it is to lose your sweetheart….I still miss mine. I know you were blessed to have each other and God will continue to bless you by giving you strength to raise your children….always with Steve in your heart.
