Stephen K. Bowen, 78, a lifelong Thorntown, Ind. resident, died January 30, 2022 at Signature Healthcare at Parkwood, Lebanon, Ind. He was born March 29, 1943 in Boone County, Ind. to “Leonard” K. & “Doris” L. (Jones) Bowen. His first marriage was to Dianna Hosfield. He then married Ledina Lanquell Hoffman on July 5, 1998 in Michigantown, Ind. and she survives.
Stephen was a 1961 graduate of Thorntown High School a graduate of Indiana Barber College. He had worked as a Barber in Crawfordsville for several years, worked 10 years for P.R. Mallory Company in the set-up department in Frankfort, the Thorntown Post Office and retired from the Crawfordsville Post Office where he worked in maintenance. He spent 6 years in the Indiana National Guard at the Darlington, Indiana Post. Stephen enjoyed trains, antiquing, Bluegrass music, traveling and loved trips to visit his grandchildren.

RESCHEDULED SERVICE TIME: VISITATION WILL BE 12 NOON - 2 p.m. TUESDAY FEBRUARY 8, 2022 at New Beginnings Fellowship Church, 120 South Powell St., Thorntown, Ind. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Thorntown. Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Association,8604 Allisonville Rd., Suite 140, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Wife: Ledina Bowen of Thorntown, Son: Brian (Candy) Bowen of Stilwell, OK, Step-son: BJ (Cindy) Hoffman of rural Frankfort, 2 Grandchildren, Brittnie & Hoss Bowen, 2 Great Grandchildren, Niklaus & Darla May, 6 Step-Grandchildren, Tori Vann, Trevor Case, Tristen Hoffman, Kyler Mosson, Brandon Mosson and Emily Mosson.
