Shelia M. Ward

Shelia May (Kriel) Ward, of Frankfort, IN passed on April 25, 2018. Shelia was born to John and Jean (Cairney) Moudy, August 5, 1935, in Frankfort, IN. Shelia attended school in Frankfort prior to working at the National Cigar Corporation. While working at the National Cigar Corp she met her husband, Robert “Jack” Ward. On December 24,1954 they married and together had their only child, Cindy.

While living in Attica, Shelia worked at RMC with her husband, and when they retired to Indianapolis to be with their grandchildren, she worked alongside her husband again at Wal-Mart. Almost 10 years ago Shelia returned and once again made Frankfort her home. Shelia was a member of the Fidelis Club and held a booth for several years at the Potawatomi festival showcasing her craft making. She also loved reading, floral arranging and crocheting, but loved her grandchildren most of all.

Visitation and Services

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. May 18, 2018 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.

Survived by:

She leaves to cherish her memory, her grandchildren, Tyler (Leigh Ann) Wine of Whispering Pines, NC and John “Jay” (Kelly) Settergren of Anthem, AZ along with her great-grandchildren, Aubrie and Brett Wine. She also leaves her siblings, John (Sandy) Moudy and Sherry (Ed) Halsema.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Jack” Ward and daughter Cindy Wine-Martinez, along with siblings, Richard (Pat) Kriel, and Bonnie (Larry) Crose.
