Sandra ‘Sandy’ Ambler 67, of Frankfort, Ind., died at 1:40 a.m. November 28, 2016 at her home. Born November 18, 1949 in Richmond, Ind., to Joseph Everett & Hazel (Reece) Burge. Married Charles A. ‘Cannonball’ Ambler on November 23, 1968 in Frankfort and he preceded her in death on December 5, 2008. Sandy attended Frankfort schools. She had previously worked at Parkview Home, Kayco Company, the rest park on I-65 and Delmonte. She had previously attended “At the Well” services at the Legion. Sandy enjoyed sewing, crafts, puzzle books, making dreamcatchers and loved her children and grandchildren.
Visitation and Services
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2016 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital.

2 Daughters: Ruby Ann Ambler of Frankfort, Samantha Lynn (Companion Ray Walker) Ambler of Rossville, Grandson: Charles Wayne Ambler of Rossville, 4 Brothers: Sam (Julie) Burge of Kirklin, Joe (Debbie) Burge of Washington, Dean (Cheryl) Burge of Frankfort, Raymond (Janine) Burge of Texas, 2 Sisters: Linda Ricks of Kokomo, and Martha (Mike) Huffman of Thorntown.
Preceded by:
her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Everett Ambler and a daughter, Hazel Marie Ambler.
Ruby and Sammi, I am so sorry to hear about your mom.. She was always one of my favorite neighbors and friends I love you girls as if you were my family and my thoughts and prayers are with you both!!
