Sandra Carol (McCoy) Frutig

Sandra Carol (McCoy) Frutig, 74, of rural Frankfort, died October 12, 2019 at I.U. Health Frankfort Hospital.  She was born January 8, 1945 in Strasburg, OH to Delbert & Edna (Smith) McCoy.  She married Philip Dean Frutig on April 17, 1965 and he preceded her in death on September 6, 2009.

Sandra was a graduate of Stone Creek High School in Ohio.  She moved to Frankfort from Ohio in 1974.  Previously employed with Frito Lay, she most recently worked as a Social Service Homemaker with the State of Indiana out of Boone County.  Sandra was a member of the Eastside Christian Church.  She loved to play Euchre and Bingo at the Eagles, going to the casino and drinking coffee.  Her greatest joy was her family.

Visitation and Services

Private graveside services will be held at Dundee Cemetery, Dundee, Ohio

Survived by:

2 Daughters: Shauna (Bob) Cole of Lebanon, IN, Wendy (Greg) Smith Frankfort, IN, Son-in-Law: Tony Davis of Frankfort, IN, 2 Sisters: Wendy (Wayne) Eldridge of Frankfort, IN, Patricia Barker of Colorado, 9 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends also survive.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Davis, son, Philip Paul Frutig II, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

    My thoughts and prayers are with all of you! Love you all! I am so glad I got to spend time with her on her visit to Ohio in September. I will forever hold that in my heart of special memories. Love and miss you Aunt Sandy!

    To all of Aunt Sandy’s immediate family, we are so sorry to hear of her passing. You have our deepest sympathy and our prayers. We are so glad that she was able to visit with us last month. We truly enjoyed seeing her, and we will really miss her.
