Sally Ann Freel, 91, of Lafayette, Ind., died July 27, 2022 at Fransican Hospital, Lafayette. She was born October 11, 1930 in Frankfort to Fleat & Lelah Mae (Morrison) Zerfas. She married William Robert Freel on April 14, 1952 in Frankfort and he preceded her in death on October 21, 2001.
Sally was a 1948 graduate of Frankfort High School. She was a homemaker. Sally was certified in first aid, loved to play bridge and attending her children’s ballgames. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and Purdue sports fan.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Monday, August 1, 2022 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Peter Heckert will officiate. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer Association.

2 Daughters: Catherine (Glenn) Branscome of Yorktown, IN, and Janet (Walter) Todd of Fort Wayne, IN, a Son: Jeffery (Nolita) Freel of Lafayette, 6 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren.
Preceded by:
sister, Betty Jo Teegarden, brother, James Zerfas, daughter-in-law, Karen Freel and granddaughter, Allison Freel.
