Ruth J. Pearcy, 96, of Frankfort, Ind. died December 13, 2017 at Wesley Manor Retirement Community. Born April 22, 1921 in Lebanon, Ind. to Elza and Ruby (Harley) Harmon. She married Karl E. Pearcy on May 26, 1941in Jeffersonville, Ind. and he preceded her in death on December 22, 1972.
Ruth is a 1939 Graduate of Lebanon High School. She worked for Mallory Controls, Thrashers, Frankfort Country Club, and was a cost analyst at Coastal States Oil & Gas Company in Corpus Christi, Tex. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frankfort. She enjoyed reading, dancing, being a clown “Zippy”, fishing, camping, and gardening. She loved her family and all furry and feathery animals.
Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society, 825 Izaak Walton Drive, Frankfort, IN 46041 or the St. Mary Ladies of Charity, 600 St. Mary’s Avenue, Frankfort, IN 46041.
Visitation and Services
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort, Ind. Visiting will be at 1-4 p.m. Sunday, December 17th at the funeral home. Father Chris Miller will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort.

She is survived by her 4 Daughters: Marsha L. Crose of Lafayette, Ind., Karla “Penny” Dirbas of Frankfort, Ind., Jane K. (Richard) Marslender of Rockport, Tex., and Robin K.S. (Ronnie) Gunn of Auga Dulce, Tex.; Sisters: Marybelle Yager of Padre Island, Tex. and Betty Jean Beck of Kokomo, Ind.; 17 Grandchildren, 39 Great Grandchildren, and 25 Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter: Karen Eads, a sister: Arnetta Kaufmann, and brother: Charles Harmon.
Grandma, I love you and will always miss you. Im so glad our family was able to go visit you awhile back. You were so at peace that day. I’ll miss SKIP-BO games and the stories you would tell. Fly high angel, till we see each other again.
