Russell “Jr” Cox 86, of Frankfort, died at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Homewood Health Campus, Lebanon, IN. Born November 11, 1927 in Clinton County to the late Russell & Veneda (Woods) Cox. He married Donna “Sue” Sneathen on February 5, 1949 and she survives. Mr. Cox was a 1946 graduate of Michigantown High School. He was a retired farmer and drove a school bus for Clinton Central for 25 years. A volunteer Fire Fighter for Forest Township, he helped establish the Forest Township Fire Department. Jr enjoyed his family and being outdoors.

Visitation and Services

Memorial service will be 5 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Craig Overman will officiate. Family will receive friends from 3:30-5 p.m. prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. Family burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Cancer Fund.

Wife: Sue Cox of Frankfort, Son: Jeff (Kathy) Cox of Michigantown, 4 Grandchildren: Cande (Todd) Coulter, Chad Weaver, Amy (Adam) Lucas and Ginger (Josh) Richey, 5 Great Grandchildren: Jessi Howe, Jerod (Jessica) Howe, Mattye Coulter, Natalee Richey and Sophee Richey.

Preceded by:

daughter, Pam Stoops on January 26, 2011 and a great grandson, Joshua Luke Richey.
