Rosina “Ro” Anderson

January 25, 2020

Rosina “Ro” Anderson, 97, passed away on January 25, 2020. She was born September 16, 1922 in Bury St. Edmunds, England.  A place she dearly loved and missed so much.

On January 27, 1945 she married Charles “Tim” Anderson in Bury St. Edmunds.  Tim was a flight engineer during WWII and was stationed near Ro’s home.  After the war, Ro came to join Tim and started their farm life together on a farm near Beard.  After Tim’s sudden passing in July of 1976, Rosina moved to Terrace Hills Mobile Home Park where she resided until moving to Muncie to be near her daughter, Susan.

Rosina loved her flowers and any stray animal that would walk by her door.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and we will all miss her feisty spirit and English wit.

I remember delivering furniture to her and sitting and listening to the stories of the war in England. She was always such a pleasant person to be around.

In honor of my dear mother Velma Cook, who was a neighbor of Ro’s for many years I wish to extend my sympathy to all her family. May they both have eternal rest.

    Dear Ones,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time. Ro was such treasure. We loved her very much…she was “family” for over forty years. No one could match her when it came to flowers. We have missed her and her flowers since she moved to Muncie. We miss her humor…she had a great wit. We loved the stories of her childhood in England and how she met your Dad.
    Love and blessings,
    Tom and Laurenda Whitcomb

I was so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. Memories of her and your family are fond parts of my childhood. She lived a long life, but it’s always too soon to lose someone you love. May good memories and the love of family and friends bring you comfort.

I am so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. It has been several years since I’ve seen her, but she hadn’t changed a bit, still the same beautiful woman that I remember. It so hard to say goodbye but especially to our mothers. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this time.
