Rosendo Hernandez Jr., of Frankfort, died unexpectedly on July 5, 2023 at his residence.  He was born July 4, 1983 in Los Angeles, CA to Rosendo Hernandez Sr. & Evangelina (Romero) Hernandez.  His fiancé, since May of 2016, is Natalia A. Guajardo and she survives.

Rosendo attended Frankfort High School and then Purdue University.  He was currently working at Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. since 2016.  Rosendo excelled in wrestling during his high school years. He enjoyed watching UFC and boxing and was a big MMA fan.  He loved to watch Marvel & DC movies, reading the comics, traveling, trying new foods, his favorite being tamales and was an avid pool player. He was a wonderful artist with drawings and sketches, was an avid 49ers and Michael Jordan fan.  Rosendo took great pride in his Cadillac car. He will be remembered for what a great father he was to his children.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be Noon - 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at the Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Green Lawn Cemetery with Father Paul Cochran officiating.

Hernandez of Mulberry, Mya A Hernandez of Mulberry, Aylah Thompson of Kokomo, Solara O. Hernandez of Frankfort, Son: Rosendo Hernandez III of Frankfort, Step Children: Nikkoli A. & Kahtai R. Guajardo of Frankfort, Sister: Rose Hernandez of Frankfort, Brothers: Jeffery Hernandez of Frankfort, Andy Hernandez of Frankfort, Paternal Grandmother: Belen Chavez, Nieces & Nephews: Madison, Nathan, Princess, Jaydon and Kiana.

Preceded by:

maternal grandparents, Gonzalo Romero and Altagracia Romero and paternal grandfather, Juan Hernandez

    I am so sorry for the loss Rosendo’s family is going through at this time. I would have loved to pay my respects and condolences in person but unfortunately I cannot make it that day. I would love to add that Rosendo was an extraordinary man, he was kind, funny, and a hard worker. He always talked about how much he loved his kids and how proud he was of them.

    I am so sorry for the great loss you and the kids are experiencing. I am in shock and had not heard the news. Rosendo “Chuy” will always be remembered by me for being such a loving father, husband and a friend who took time to help the hopeless old lady learn to play Pokémon Go. The one who one day was at the park shelter playing five phones at once. Praying for you and the family.

    Kaira Marie, Mya Amor, and the rest of the Hernandez Familia. I’m so very sorry for the devastating loss of your Father, your Brother, your son, friend. Junior was always living life, laughing, joking, overall, was a man who thought the absolute world of his family and cherished them all. From his Eldest 1st born daughter, Kaira Marie Hernandez, his 2nd born daughter, Mya Amor Hernandez and the other family he has. I had the privilege of growing up with Junior from Kyger school days through high-school. Not only did I consider Junior a friend, but more than that I considered him brother. Rest easy, Junior! To his children and family, you all are in my thoughts and prayers!! God hears all, God sees all, and God Loves all. Love you, Brother!
