Robert P. Lineback, 86, of Frankfort, IN died on the morning of Friday, June 1, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born January 10, 1926 in Frankfort to John T. and Lillian C. (Dick) Lineback. He married Rosemary Plank on February 19, 1949 in Frankfort and she preceded him in death on February 1, 2010.
A lifetime Frankfort resident, Bob graduated from Frankfort High School in 1944. He then attended Ball State University and the International Business College in Fort Wayne. He served overseas in the US Army during World War II where he was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and the Bronze Star. He worked for 5 years as a switchman for Nickle Plate Railroad, 10 years as a salesman for American Income Life Insurance Company and retired after 17 years of service from the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Frankfort where he was an administrative assistant. Bob was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Frankfort Elks, Frankfort Moose, VFW, and the American Legion.
Visitation and Services
Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frankfort with Father Chris Miller officiating. Friends and Family may visit 5-8 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home with a Rosary at 4:30 p.m. Burial with military rites will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Survivors include one son: John Jeffrey (Deb) Lineback of Edna Mills; one daughter: Vickie Goff of Frankfort; Grandchildren: Carrie, Kristi, Gina, Jennie, Todd, and Eric; and Great-Grandchildren: Alyssa, Taylor, Caitlin, and Travis.
