Robert N. Wiley

Robert N. Wiley, 87, of Thorntown, Ind., died December 16, 2019 at The Waters of Lebanon, Lebanon, Ind.  He was born July 8, 1932 in Boone County, Ind. to the late Arthur N. & Mildred F. (Reish) Wiley.  He was previously married to Mary Lou Wiley.  He married Roberta A. Gilmore on July 14, 1987 in Whitestown, Ind. and she survives.

Robert was a 1950 graduate of Kirklin High School. He was a dairy farmer his entire life and was a sales associate with McIntyre Wiley Auction.  He attended New Hope Church.  Robert was a lifetime member of Holstein Association, was a credited dairy cattle judge, showed cows in 11 states and developed the 3rd highest holstein herd in the nation. To all that knew him, he will be remember as the “Cow Man”

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 10 a.m. -1 pm. Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral celebration will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mud Creek Cemetery, Elizaville, Ind. Memorial donations may be made to New Hope Church.

Wife: Roberta A. Wiley of Thorntown, 3 Sons: R. Marcus (Debbie) Wiley of Lebanon, D. Newton Wiley (Nova Anderson) of Thorntown, Shawn (Sandy) Bakeis of Whitestown, 2 Daughters: Elaine Galvin of Brownsburg, Christine (Patrick) Esser of Cedarburg, WI, Sister-in-Law: Jean Wiley of Tenley Park, IL., 9 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandson,

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Hugh Wiley and Bruce Wiley and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Wiley and Jackie Wiley

    Marcus, Newton, Roberta and Family,
    So sorry for your loss. What short time I knew Bob, I really enjoyed talking and visiting with him. Jim talks about his great success
    in the cattle business and all that he accomplished while in the business. He was a very nice person and will be missed by all.
    So sorry that we can’t be there with y’all but want y’all to know that our prayers and thoughts are with you.
