Robert D. Grimes

Robert D. Grimes 85, Frankfort, IN, died the morning of November 4, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis, IN. Born: April 13, 1927, in Kosciusko County, Indiana.      Born to Dale & Juanita M. (Guthrie) Grimes, he married Mary L. Hammer on October 24, 1948, in Hortonville Friends Church and she preceded him in death on March 17, 2011.  

Visitation and Services

 

  Services 10:30 a.m. Wednesday November 7, 2012, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Frankfort, with visitation 4-7 p.m. Tuesday November 6, 2012, at the funeral home. A Masonic Memorial service in honor of Bob will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The family asks that memorial donations be made to the Antioch Church building fund, envelopes will be available. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Pastor Dave Klipp will officiate.

   Daughter: Marilyn K. Grimes of Westfield, IN; Son: Richard D. (Jill) Grimes of rural Frankfort, IN; 3 Grandchildren: Lauri (Nick) Wainscott of Lafayette, Richelle (Dave) Morris of Frankfort and Ryan (Tracey) Grimes of Brookston. 7 Great-Grandchildren also survive.

 He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Hann.

    To Marilyn, Richard and families. So sorry about your dad. I used to see him at Wesley Manor when I visited my parents. He was so good to your mom. They had a “Cyclone Area” get-together at the tea parties with some other residents. I think they are all gone now. Hope you have peace that he is now with your Mom. Thinking of you, Lynnette
