Rick R. Martin, 58, of Burlington, IN, died on May 26, 2014. He was born May 28, 1955 in Frankfort to Gertie “Gert” Quick. Rick was a 1973 graduate of Clinton Central High School. He lived in Clinton County before moving to Carroll County in 1983. An electrician for Delco, he worked for 31 years before retiring in 2004. Rick was a member of the Kempton Christian Church, Beard Masonic Lodge; and the American Legion Post 6 and UAW 292, both in Kokomo. He loved playing golf, woodworking, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, enjoyed helping others and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. following the visitation. A tribute motorcycle ride from the funeral home to Kempton Christian Church will be held immediately after the memorial service. Donations in Rick’s memory may be made to the I.U. Cancer Center, Lafayette, IN.

Son: Derrick (Jennifer) Martin of Kirklin, Mother: Gert Quick of Michigantown, Sister: Rita K. Martin of Spindale, NC, Five Grandchildren: Jake Abbott, Taylor Abbott, Aubrey Martin, Broc Martin, Cain Martin and one Great Grand Daughter, Lilah Abbott.
