Rick Allan Brewer 62, resident of Noblesville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ October 21, 2013, peacefully at home next to his wife, due to complications from pulmonary fibrosis.
He was born in Lebanon Indiana, June 20, 1951. Rick was a Frankfort High School graduate. He earned his Bachelors and Masters Degree from Ball State University. Rick was married to Pamela Newbold-Brewer on November 27, 1971. Rick had many challenges beginning early in life. He was diagnosed with polio at 15 months old. Through all the challenges, polio, surgeries, post-polio syndrome and pulmonary fibrosis, none of these defined who he was. He was always smiling, laughing and such an encouragement to others around him. Especially the young lives he touched in his 20 years of teaching in the Pike Township School system. “I HAVE FOUGHT THE GOOD FIGHT, I HAVE FINISHED THE RACE, I HAVE KEPT THE FAITH”, 2 Timothy 4:7

Facebook Twitter GoogleI am so sorry for your loss. I met Rick at his sisters funeral and knew he was a special person. I had chatted with him through Facebook and he was always positive with what ever he said. Even when he was going to the hospital he said that he was going to make the best of it. I know that we will meet again in heaven. I am sure that Rick and Debbie are rejoicing being together. I will be praying for all of you

Facebook Twitter GooglePam, I been thinking about you all week. Memories of us as little girls playing. Memories of Rick when I first met him on our first day in first grade together. You knew him for many years and shared a whole lifetime together. You were a great couple with a beautiful family. What a joy!!! Sweet sweet memories you have in you heart. Dry your tears and go ahead. He is right there with you forever.
Love you, Susie

Facebook Twitter GoogleTo Rick’s family, I am saddened to hear of your loss so soon after Deborah’s passing. I did not get to meet Rick but it sounds like he was the kind of person that was positive and a good roll model for the children he taught. May God’s loving arms surround you at this difficult time to ease the pain but also remember the wonderful memories.

Facebook Twitter GoogleI am so sorry about Rick – He was such a neat man and we are the one who are suffering and not him. Pam, he’s happy now and someday we will be just as happy. Please take knowledge in the fact that anyone who knew him, loved him. How lucky you were to have him as long as you did with all his love for you and strength. Please accept my condolences Norma Pudleiner (Esler’s Auto and Bob’s Garage secretary)

Facebook Twitter GoogleTo Pam, all of the Brewers and family, what a loss to lose Rick, I too had only met him at Debbie’s funeral, all though we were Facebook friends. (I’m sure I knew him from years ago, his Dad sang at my mothers funeral, I had told him that, but never asked him if he had the gift of singing, like his dad and Debbie) I’m so sorry for your loss, he was so well thought of. God Bless you all, Debbie Ogden Bake , Trinity United Methodist, Frankfort, Indiana…
