Richard E. “Dick” Myers 85, of Frankfort, IN, died at 6:30 p.m. April 9, 2014 at Milner Community Health, Rossville, IN. Born July 21, 1928 in Frankfort to the late Ernest & Jennie (Gibbs) Myers. He married Dorothy Branham on November 28, 1958 in Frankfort and she preceded him in death on December 14, 1993. Mr. Myers attended Frankfort Schools. He lived most of his life in Frankfort, living in Nashville, TN from 1969-1980. Richard was a self-employed house painter and cook, working for John Applegate and Rose Haven Diner, retiring in 1979.
Visitation and Services
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Green Lawn Cemetery, Frankfort, Ind. No visitation is planned.

Myers Jr. of Huntsville, AL, James Laflen of Frankfort, 3 Grandchildren, Michell Anyaka of Frankfort, Carrie Moore of Frankfort, Todd Davis of Michigantown, Step Children: Ruby Crick of Frankfort, Phyllis McQueen of Frankfort, William Eldridge of Frankfort, Wayne Eldridge of Frankfort and 5 great grandchildren.
Preceded by:
his wife, Dorothy and his longtime companion, Barbara Dannin, he was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Angela Davis and Tracey Myers, 4 sisters and 8 brothers.
Adieu grandpa, God brought and God took. We are not happy you left us, but we also thank God for a life well spent. You lived a life that we all want to imitate and we know you are going to meet our Lord Jesus Christ. We all love you grandpa Richard Myers and will miss you. May your soul rest in perfect peace. Amen
