Preston W. Ploughe, 97, of Frankfort, died at 4 a.m. February 17, 2018 at Wesley Manor. He was born October 16, 1920 in Clinton County to Preston Asa & Bessie Mae (Douglas) Ploughe. He married Mary E. Picker on July 16, 1951 in Indianapolis and she survives. Mr. Ploughe was a life long resident of Clinton County and was a 1939 graduate of Sugar Creek School in Pickard, Ind. He worked in custodial and security at Steel Parts in Tipton, retiring in 1985. Preston was a member of the Hills Baptist Church near Pickard. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and horses. His family and friends were very important to him.
Visitation and Services
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Wesley Manor Chapel, 1555 N. Main St., Frankfort with visiting one-hour prior to the service. Deborah Musick will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to Paw Pals of Clinton County, P.O. Box 124, Frankfort, Ind. 46041.

Ploughe of Frankfort, Ind., 2 Daughters: Linda Wheeler of Frankfort, Ind., Karen (Mark) Amos of Kempton, Ind., 2 Sons: Thomas (Donna Jean) Alan Ploughe of Chandler, AZ, Rick (Beverly) Ploughe of rural Frankfort, Ind., 2 Sisters: Norma Jean Macis of Texas, Dortha Thompson of Brookston, Ind., 2 Brothers: James (Evelyn) Ploughe of Kirklin, Ind., Dale (Arlene) Ploughe of Michigantown, Ind., 14 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.

May the Lord be with you in this, your very difficult, time of grief. I wish that I could be with you, but as you all must know, it is quite difficult for me at this time. I love you all and may God give you the power to deal with your loss. It was also a great loss to me. This is an event that is inevitable for all of us and may we pray to make it as long as he did, providing we have the precious gift of health.
