Peggy L. Houze 66, of Frankfort, IN, died November 1, 2011 at her home. Born July 23, 1945 in Frankfort, IN to Arthur Earl & Vivian D. (Hickerson) Pickering. She married Ronald L. Houze on October 11, 1963 and he preceded her in death on May 24, 2007. Mrs. Houze was a 1963 Frankfort High School graduate. She worked at Regions Bank, Frankfort, IN for 30 years.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday, November 4th from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery.

Houze of Frankfort Daughter: Cheryl (Scott) Godsey of Avon 3 Sisters: Carol Mitchell of Arkansas, Jean Cohee of North Carolina and Kay (Carl) Mocherman of Cutler Brother: Joe Pickering of Frankfort Sister-in-Law: Linda Pickering of Martinsville 2 Grandchildren: Garrett & Zachary Godsey

    Dear Cheryl, Mike and family,
    My heartfelt condolences on the loss of your mom. It’s my hope that the many memories you shared with her will bring you a sense of comfort during this very sad time. Cheryl, one of the memories I have of Peggy involves her making us grilled cheese sandwiches (comfort food as a kid and still today) when I went to your house in grade school. The simple joys of being a kid. Wishing you peace.

    Dear Cheryl, Mike and Family,
    Peggy was a wonderful person. Peggy and I worked together at Summit Bank. She trained me and she was so patient and we had a great time together. She was such a nice, kind person. Anytime when we needed to go to the drive-thru (Todd and myself) she always had nice things to say and always had a smile!

    My sincere condolences to Peggy’s family and friends. I am so glad I was lucky enough to know Peggy for a little while, and she will be sorely missed by us all.

    [Region’s Banc. Corp.] is to host a Post “Green Lawn” Service Dinner, Sat. 11/05/2011 at The 1st Nazarene Church – COMMUNITY LIFE BUILDING, catered by SHOUP’S Country Foods. This is in honor of PEGGY L. HOUZE having 30 years of bank service, since Oct. 18, 1981.
    All are welcome to attend.

    My deepest condolences to Peggy’s family and friends. What a wonderful soul God gave us all! I will never forget your smile and how much you always cared about me and my family. God sure has one of the great ones now! I will always treasure the laughs we shared and your kindness you gave to all! Its never goodbye, but see you later, Honey!
