Orten M. Adair 94, of Frankfort, IN, died at 3:42 a.m. March 8, 2010 at Wesley Manor Health Care Center. Born September 13, 1915 in Belle Fourche, SD and orphaned at the age of 5, he was raised by William and Lela Adair. He married Mary E. Sheridan on September 21, 1940 in Frankfort and she survives. He was a 1934 graduate of Woodward Technical High School in Toledo, OH. He retired from the P.R. Mallory Co. in 1977 after 26 years of service. While there, he held various positions, including, foreman, manufacturing superintendent and traffic manager. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, American Legion and Elks, past member of Optimist and Orbiter’s Clubs. Orten was past president of Frankfort Management Club, served as director for the Frankfort Boys Club, Treasurer of Camp Cullom Scout Camp and volunteered for Junior Achievement and Little League Baseball. He earned his pilots’ license and enjoyed flying and spending time at the airport. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during WWII.
Visitation and Services
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Indiana United Methodist Children’s Home, P.O. Box 747, Lebanon, IN 46052-0747.

Daughter: Phyllis (Lee) Shearer of Paris, OH
2 Granddaughters and 2 Great Grandsons also survive.
Mary Edith, Jim and I just want you to know you have our prayers. Orten was such a good friend, especially to Jim and was so much help on restoring the Taylorcraft. We have a lot of wonderful memories and I am sure you do too. God Bless You.
