Norma G. Wright (95) of Frankfort, IN. went to be with the Lord on Sunday Oct. 25, 2020 at home with her loved ones by her side.
She was born and raised in Merlin Ontario, Canada to Larnie and Millie (Sales) Sheets on June 3, 1925. The family moved to Frankfort, Indiana when she was 16 years old, graduating from Frankfort high school in 1944.
On May 10, 1947, she married “the love of her life,” Charles E. Wright, Jr. from Princeton, Indiana. They were blessed with four sons: Col. (Retired) James (Monacettia) Wright of Frankfort, Philip (Pam) Wright of Frankfort, Brian (Connie) Wright of Frankfort, and Keith (Lisa) Wright of Springfield, Mo, 12 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
While raising her family, Norma worked at the Frankfort Cigar Factory, Peter Paul (10 years), and Clarks department store. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and enjoyed singing in the choir, attending her husband’s 70 & 2 Sunday school class, and fellowshipping with other members. Her passion was knitting afghans, sewing, eating chocolate and cooking large meals for her family.
Norma loved and cherished her family! We all love you and will miss you, Norma/Mom/Grandma.

Facebook Twitter GoogleI had the privilege of being a part of this family for over 50 years. Charles and Norma always made me feel welcome even with all the shenanigans Phil and I did. I got to enjoy so many of those fantastic meals Norma made. I don’t know how many Thanksgivings and Christmas’s my family and I stopped by to see the “family” after we had dinner with ours. Norma always made us eat some more, no matter how full we were. One of the last things I remember Norma saying to me was “you are a part of this family, you always have been and you always will be”. She will be missed, but always loved.
