Nona Sappenfield 95 of Frankfort, IN, died at 6:25 a.m. December 14, 2011 at Wesley Manor. Born October 10, 1916 in Marion County, Indiana and adopted by Oscar & Jennie Lind. She married Leo Vance Sappenfield on October 1, 1939 and he preceded her in death on August 13, 1990. Mrs. Sappenfield graduated from Marco High School, Marco, IN. She and her husband moved from Linton, IN to Frankfort when Vance began as editor of the Frankfort Morning Times. Mrs. Sappenfield was a homemaker. Her memberships included; Bethel Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Frankfort, Delta Theta Tau Sorority, Town & Country Homemakers Club, Friend of the Frankfort Library, was a pink lady at the Clinton County Hospital and a Red Cross Volunteer.
Visitation and Services
Services will be 7 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2011 at the Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 17th in Bethel Cemetery, Linton, IN. Donations may be made to the Frankfort Public Library or Charity of Choice.
