Miriam L. McQuern 85, longtime Clinton County resident, died at 6 p.m. February 21, 2015 at Wesley Manor Retirement Community.
Miriam was born October 4, 1929 in Clinton County to Virgil A. and Blanche (Cunningham) Pendry
She married William L. McQuern on May 11, 1947 in Colfax, IN and he survives.
Miriam was a 1947 graduate of Colfax High School and was a homemaker and farm wife most of her life. She and Bill moved to Florida in 1984 where she worked for the Kmart Deli in Bonita Springs. They moved back to Frankfort in 2007 to spend time with her family. She was a member of the Colfax Christian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Miriam enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, traveling in their motor home, and most of all spending time with her family.
Visitation and Services
Friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday February 25, 2015 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Frankfort. No public services are planned. Burial at a later date will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Great Lakes Hospice.

Surviving along with her husband: Daughter: Carol Jo (Husband-Gordy) Barnett of Frankfort Sons: Terry R. (Wife-Linda) McQuern of Rural Frankfort James A. (Wife-Teresa) McQuern of Justin, TX 8 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter: Jamie Leigh McQuern, and a brother: Max S Pendry.
My heart goes out to Bill, Carol Jo, Jim, Terry, and the rest of her family that she was very proud of.
She was a very easy person to love.
Her and Bill had the fairy tale relationship – the happy ever after.
She will be truly miss.
