Mindy L. Perkins, 57, of Fort Wayne, died October 15, 2023 at her home. She was born April 21, 1966 to Robert Steele and Janice Wells.
Mindy was a 1984 graduate of Frankfort High School, attended Ivy Tech for nursing and was currently working towards her B.S. in Psychology with Phoenix University. She had lived in Frankfort, Colfax, New Castle and Lebanon prior to moving to Fort Wayne. Mindy had worked for Kuehne & Nagel in Indianapolis. She attended the Colfax Wesleyan Church. Mindy enjoyed bingo, dancing, playing pool, bowling, fishing, going to concerts, listening to classic rock and country and being with her dog, Minnie.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery, Colfax, Ind. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Daughter: Amanda (Fiancé David Lawson) Hart of Rochester, Ind., Sons: Aaron (Ashley) Hart of Huntertown, Ind. and Alec Hart of Lake Arrowhead, CA, Step-Mother: Nancy Steele of Lafayette, Ind., Sisters: Sissy (Mike) Walker of Thorntown, Ind., Debi Bledsoe of New Castle, Ind., Brothers: Bill Steele of Frankfort, Tony Steele of Michigan as well as several other siblings, Grandchildren: Nevaeh Goodman, Navan Goodman, Nekhi Goodman and Addison Hart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Dan Wells and grandson Niahm Goodman
She was a lifelong friend of mine who was a great friend. She was always there when needed for her children and grandchildren also her friends. I will dearly miss her, love you Mindy.
