Mildred Irene Allen Smith, 83, born March 14, 1937 to Elza Almond & Clara Bell (Carrander) Martin left her home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 9, 2020. Surrounded by her sister, children and grandchildren she left this earth peacefully and truly Loved by all. Born near Somerset, Kentucky in 1937, her family moved to the Frankfort area in 1949 where she remained a life long resident.
Visitation and Services
The family along with Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort, Ind. is planning a Private Viewing and Graveside Service prior to her being laid to rest beside her husband, Raymond Allen and parents at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Frankfort, Ind. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Frankfort Parks Department, c/o Goodwin Funeral Home, where trees will be planted in her honor, throughout the parks system in the city.

She married Raymond Wesley “Doggie” Allen in 1953 and they raised 5 children who all survive her with 17 Grandchildren and 29 Great Grandchildren, Brenda S. (Bernard) Smith of Lafayette, Ind., Debra L. (Matt) Herring of Frankfort, Ind., Jeffrey R. (Lorraine) Allen of Frankfort, Ind., Steven R. (Casey) Allen of Frankfort, Ind., Tammy L. (Todd) Lucas of Mulberry, Ind. She is also survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother, Lou E. Sellers of Frankfort, Ind., Junior L. Martin of Frankfort, Ind., Gloria J. (Jeff) Clinger of Frankfort, Ind. and Ruth E. (Greg) Mathews of Lafayette, Ind.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Raymond Allen in 1998 and her second husband Doval Smith in 2013, 3 sisters, Christine Snyder, Ilene White and Peggy Day, 3 brothers, Edvin Martin, Donnie Martin and Tony Martin.
So so sorry for your loss. She was such a wonderful woman, neighbor, and friend! Rest easy.
