Michael Ray Anglea 63, of Frankfort, IN, died Sunday, January 3, 2010 at home. Born: October 9, 1946 in Franklin, KY to Robert D. & Violet I. (Grace) Anglea. He married Linda ‘Sue’ Mitchell on September 17, 1967 in Belmont Church of Christ in Indianapolis. Mr. Anglea was a Frankfort resident since 1984, prior to that he lived in Indianapolis. A veteran of the Marines, he served on the USS Independence during the Vietnam War from 1965-1971. From 1971-1991 he served in the Air National Guard for crash and fire rescue. Mr. Anglea was a Millwright for the Ford Motor Co. for 32 years, retiring in 2004. He also worked at Harmeson in Frankfort. His memberships include Community Christian Church, UAW Local 1111, former member of VFW, and was active in Boy Scouts as a Scoutmaster and District Executive.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 6th from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Wife: Linda ‘Sue’ Anglea of Frankfort 3 Sons: Michael ‘Brad’ (Wife Dusty) Anglea, Brian K. Anglea and Jason R. Anglea all of Frankfort Brother: James Dannie Anglea of Indianapolis 3 Grandchildren: Tre’, Hannah and Phalan Scotten Anglea

    Hi,
    I am the daughter of Versie Glyn Durbin (Shrum) and Irvin Durbin. My Mom and Violet were double first cousins. My Moms mom, Mildred was a Grace. (She passed before I was born) I remember going to see Violet and Robert when they lived by West Newton. We would go to church at the Church of Christ in Mars Hill. My Dad, husband (Blaine) and myself all worked at Ford with Mike. It was funny to meet him at work because I really do not remember him as a child although I know I must have seen many times. I am so sad to hear of your loss. I will let the out of town family know. My Mom passed November 16, 2009 suddenly. So my heart goes out to all of you. Take care and know you are all in our thoughts.

    My heart breaks for you all. Having gone through this disease with my mother just a short time ago. I know that the pain takes time to stop hurting so much and the emptiness that it leaves in your heart as a child seems like it will never go away. Always know that God will be there beside you holding your hand when you cry and wonder why and wrap his arms around you when you feel lonely. Always know that me and my family are here if and when you need anything.

    We love you all and are so sorry that we cannot be there with you. Uncle Mike was a wonderful, gentle soul and I will forever have such fond memories of him. He was such a wonderful uncle– and I loved him dearly. I know this is a horrible time for all of you, but I pray that God grants you peace and assurance that we will all be together again someday and that this pain is only temporary. Its hard to understand God’s plan, and I’ve questioned it many times since Moma died, but the one thing I hold to is that promise that we’ll be reunited and that I’ll see her again. You all are in our thoughts and prayers and we love you very much.
