Facebook Twitter GoogleWe lost a good man. I worked with Mike in Frankfort his first day on the job . We worked hard and had fun while building the refinery there. We went our seperate ways but were always part of the same team. As Mike grew professionally he accepted promotions into some of our more challenging and geographically diverse locations. He always exhibited great leadership, never complained, and always left things much better than he found them. Amongst the 100’s of people who’s lives he touched at ADM I am not alone in saying Mike was respected for his ability and well liked for his personality. He faced adversity with a chuckle and I liked that about him. He will be greatly missed at ADM and I extend my condolences and deepest sympathy to Mikes family.

I have no words to express my deep sorrow on learning of Mike’s passing. Kari and I are so fortunate to have gained your friendship into our lives and to have been able to spend time with you, Mike and the boys. Mike was a wonderful person, caring and sincere. I always enjoyed talking business with him but more importantly just talking about life & family which was clear, were most important to him. I know that all of you have so many happy memories of your times together. You will never forget these. Take strength from them and in knowing that Mike is no longer suffering. I wish I could personally give you all a big hug, Kari will bring mine when she arrives later today. You are in my thoughts and prayers. – Brent Kobelka, Lloydminster, Alberta –

I am so very sad that “Mike Deck” has passed. I so loved making him shake his head at my outrageous antics! And forcing him to ” hug it out” every time I saw him. He was a great man, a fabulous husband and an amazing dad. I feel so lucky to have such fun memories that include the Deck family.
I can’t wait to hug it out with all of you soon.

Facebook Twitter GoogleKim, we have no words to comfort the pain you and your family are going through right now. On behalf of my family, and your goddaughter Emily, our deepest condolences to you and your lovely boys. We hope that in this desperate time, full of sadness and pain, you’ll find the strength that will light up your way. Sometimes God leads us into troubled waters, and we think it’s illogical what he gets in front of us to make us prove the love we have for Him. I hope your soul and heart find relief very soon.

I heard about Mike’s passing from a friend. I remember being at your wedding & then Miriam &David were on their way to see you with your new baby…wasn’t all this just yesterday? Time has a way of going by so fast, Wendi’s & my memories of the Deck family are wonderful & many. Our hearts broke when Miriam died. Now the wound is opened again with Mike’s passing. Our prayers for all of you are that you will find comfort in wonderful memories & that the boys will follow the example set for them by their Dad. Peace be with all of you. God bless.
