Meikel F. Miller 66, of rural Colfax, IN, died at 1:21 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2014 at his home unexpectedly. Born January 20, 1948 in Crawfordsville, IN to the late James L. “Jr” & Mary Ellen (Ashley) Miller. He married Rebecca Rae “Beckie” Dieterle on January 6, 1974 and she survives. Mr. Miller attended school in Colfax then graduated from Clinton Prairie in 1966. He served a full tour of duty with the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1967-1969 and was proud to be a veteran. He was manager, with his parents, of Miller Fish Suppers in Colfax from 1969-1995. He then worked at General Seating/NHK in Frankfort, retiring in 2013. Since July 2013 he had been associated with with Walmart on CR 350 in Lafayette as a greeter. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frankfort and American Legion in Colfax. Mike enjoyed drawing, rock & roll music and especially his three dogs, 2 beagles and a schnauzer.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be Monday, October 27, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Services will begin at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, envelopes will be available.

Know that my heart is saddened for you and your son at your sad and sudden loss. From what I have read here your husband was a good man and thought of highly. I do remember Mike when we would go to Miller’s…..fond memories. Cling to your precious memories, I know at this time this may be difficult, but as you think of him in the days to come at some point you will remember Mike and there will be a smile on your face.
