Max Edward Catron, 93, of rural Russiaville, died January 30, 2018 at Mulberry Health. He was born December 20, 1924 in Clinton County to Jess & Grace D. (Kesler) Catron. He married Melba McIlrath on August 7, 1947 and she preceded him in death on August 16, 2015. Max was a 1942 graduate of Burlington High School. A lifelong farmer, he also worked for Delco General Motors for 31 years. Max was a member of the Oakland Christian Church, where he had served as trustee. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Geetingsville Telephone Company.
Visitation and Services
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in Middlefork Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Oakland Christian Church or the Purdue Cancer Center

Daughter: Linda Uitts of Frankfort, Son: Mike (Charlyn) Catron of rural Frankfort, 5 Grandchildren: Josh (Stacy) Uitts of Frankfort, Curt (Heather) Uitts of Frankfort, Ross (Bea) Uitts of Miami Lakes, FL, Kari (Derek) Crouch of Kokomo and Traci (Nick) Kuhn of Baroda, MI along with 9 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Harold Catron and Lank Catron, 3 sisters, Katheryn Byrum, Josephine Hodson and Bonnie Brown, and a son, Mark Catron.
