Mary M. Helmberger, 103, longtime Clinton County resident, died August 22, 2024 at The Waters of Tipton. She was born June 8, 1921 in Loyston, Tennessee to James and Necy (Rayel) Hill. She married Michael Helmberger on August 16, 1974 and he preceded her in death in January 22, 2021.
Mary attended Hills Academy in Tennessee and was a 1940 graduate of Forest High School. Born and raised in Loyston, TN, she came to Indiana when she was 13. She worked at Delco Electronics and Mallory Controls, retiring from Delco in 1983. She had been a member of the West Point Christian Church since 1968. She also had belonged to the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed gardening and quilting, loved fishing with her husband. Mary and her husband would winter in Frost Proof, Florida.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be Noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Darren Miracle will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the West Point Christian Church, 5112 N. CR 1250 E, Russiaville, IN 46979.

Daughters: Jo Marie (Larry) Kanst of Ball Ground, GA, Kathy Like of Brookston, Sons: Mike (Martha) Like of Tucker, GA, Tom (Barbara) Like of Frankfort, Step Daughter-Jana Helmberger of Sharpsville, IN, Step Son: Larry (Cherie) Helmberger of Russiaville, Sister: Olive Fearnow of Kokomo, Several Grandchildren and Several Great Grandchildren also survive.

Jo-Marie, Mike, Tommy-Joe, Kathy, and Larry and Jana. She was a special person and my favorite aunt. Sudie and I loved her and Mike very much. She is now at rest with Mike.
