Mary Jeanette Meek 94, of Frankfort, IN, died at 5:20 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Clinton House Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born September 24, 1920 in Monroe County, Indiana to the late Burgan & Grace (Davis) Winburn. She married Russell Leo Meek on August 4, 1940 and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2011. Mrs. Meek was a 1938 graduate of Deputy High School. A homemaker, she was a member of the Victory Chapel Church.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Goodwin Funeral Home, with the services beginning at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 2nd in Austin Cemetery, Austin, Indiana.
Survived by:
1 Daughter: Charlotte Baker of Indianapolis, 2 Sons: James A. (Rachel) Meek of Frankfort, David L. Meek of Indianapolis, Sister: Ruth Murray of Seymour, 9 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and 13 Great Great Grandchildren.
Preceded by:
a brother, 2 sisters, daughter-in-law, Clara Meek and son-in-law Harlan Baker
Jeanette will now be able to join Russell and Uncle B and Aunt Grace, Mabel, Kathryn, and Ralph and all her other loved ones. I shall always have fond memories of times spent with her in my childhood. May she rest in peace and love.
