    Mike & Becki, I am so sad to hear of Mary Ellen’s passing. As much as I would like to be at the visitation, my work won’t allow. Please take my most heartfelt condolences, my love and my prayer that you will feel the comfort and blessings of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

  2. Karen Timmons Patchett October 10, 2009 at 5:08 pm

    Condolences to Mary Ellen’s family. She and Jim purchased their home in Colfax from my father, Eugene Timmons. It was my grandparent’s home prior to their deaths, and my sister and her husband lived there and helped make the restoration in the late 1940’s before the Miller’s purchase. We talked about the home different times when my husband and I enjoyed the wonderful catfish and onion rings on special nights out. Mrs. Miller was a hard-working business woman and I treasure memories that she was responsible for.

    So very sorry about your mom. Mary Ellen was one of the nicest women I ever knew, she also was very tough when it came to work I will never forget when we worked together how she was on us busboys if the chairs and ashtrays were not cleaned the right way I look back and the best times of my life were the ones I was working for your mom and dad and all the fun we had not to mention the trouble we got into. My prayers are with all of you at this time and may God Bless.
    Love ya, Jerry

    Mike and Becky;
    It is with great sadness that we heard of your Mother’s passing. We regret that we are unable to attend her funeral today, but please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. As you know, we so enjoyed working with your parent’s on the sale of Miller’s Fish House. We know how difficult it was to make the decision to sell something that all of you had put so much of your heart, soul and labor into, obviously very successfully. We had nothing but the greatest respect and admiration for them. Please take care…..
    With our sympathy,
    Cheri Cooper and Charlie Coffman
