Martha Laverne Mangis, 82, of Frankfort, died October 21, 2024 at I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, Ind. She was born October 26, 1941 in Frankfort to Clayton Hurt & Ruby (Bartley) Hurt Pettit. She married Paul A. Mangis on September 22, 1960 and he preceded her in death on September 11, 2016.
Martha received her GED from Frankfort High School. She had previously worked at Peter Paul/Zachary, Wesley Manor and retired from Walmart. She was a member of the First Christian Church and Eastern Star, where she was Worthy Matron. Most importantly she wanted to be a good mom and she will be missed.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be 12 Noon-2 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2024 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.

Son: Ken (Elizabeth) Mangis of Carmel, Grandsons: Jalen Mangis of Broad Ripple and Gavin Mangis of Carmel
Preceded by:
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, daughter, Mary Kay Mangis, sisters Angel Fickle, Virginia Laughner, Anna Lee Crail, and stepfather, Kelly Pettit.
Sorry to hear of Martha’s passing, but I will CELEBRATE HER HOME. PRAISE THE LORD
