Marilyn J. Snellenbarger

Marilyn J. Snellenbarger, 89 of rural Frankfort, died April 6, 2022 at her home.  She was born February 9, 1933 in Clinton County, Ind. to the late Frank & Mary (Ruch) Pletch.  She married Charles K. Snellenbarger on November 25, 1951 in Antioch Church and he survives.

Marilyn was a 1951 graduate of Jackson Township High School and was President of her class. Growing up Marilyn enjoyed participating in 4-H, doing sewing projects and showing cattle. She worked at Wesley Manor dining room, Clinton County Chamber of Commerce and Jackson Elementary School, where she was a secretary and teachers’ aide.  She was a member of the Antioch Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and was active in Women’s Fellowship.  Marilyn enjoyed sewing, quilting, and spending time with her family.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will in Bunnell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Antioch Church, 4625 S. State Road 39, Frankfort, IN 46041.

her husband: Charles Snellenbarger of rural Frankfort, son: Phil (Maribeth) Snellenbarger of rural Frankfort, daughter: Lisa (Bill) Terry of Brazil, Ind., 4 brothers: Max Pletch, Fred Pletch, Bill (Sheryl) Pletch all of Frankfort and John Pletch of Lafayette, sister: Jacquelyn Williams of Frankfort, 7 grandchildren: Aaron (Tara) Snellenbarger, Kayla (Shane) Greeno, Kelly (Fiancé Bonnie) Snellenbarger, Jacob (Betsy) Terry, Clint Terry, Luke (Kelsey) Terry, and Bennett Terry, and 3 great-grandchildren: Kyler Snellenbarger, Kallen Greeno and Jack Terry.

Preceded by:

her parents, sister-in-law, Zillah Pletch, sister-in-law, Lynnette Pletch and brother-in-law, Fred Williams.
