Marianne Douglass 56, Frankfort, IN, died at 1:32 p.m. December 1, 2013 at her home. Born November 11, 1957 in Lafayette, IN to the late Earl “Tinker” & Bonnie (Pruett) McKinzie. Marianne was a 1976 graduate of Frankfort High School and a lifelong Frankfort resident. She had worked for Mallory Controls from 1976-1982. Marianne was a member of the FOP Auxiliary and attended First Church of the Nazarene. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, a devoted grandmother, friend and sister and loved to have a good time.

Visitation and Services

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 4th at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society or Clinton County Cancer Fund.

Daughter: Lacy Douglass Favors of Frankfort, Brother: Tim (Jo) McKinzie of Frankfort, Sister: Linda (Tom) Walters of Frankfort, Sister-in-Law: Colleen McKinzie of Frankfort, 4 grandchildren, Justin, Patton, Sage and Draven, 3 nieces, Mandi McKinzie, Megan McKinzie McDonald and Alex McKinzie and nephew, Kyle McKinzie, special nieces and nephew, Allen Walters, Andrea Myers, Margie Walters.

Preceded by:

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Randy McKinzie.

    So sorry for your loss…although I only met her a couple of times through my cousin and one of her dearest friends Debbie Williams, she was always so sweet and had so much love to share. May she rest in peace and be without pain and suffering now.

    My prayers are with you Lacey and Tim Mackenzie, so sorry to hear about your mom. I know what it’s like, I just lost my mom in June. Your mom was a friend of mine just little after we started school. Your moms mom and dad was very good friends with my mom and dad. May God be with you.

    Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I am sorry for your loss. I graduated with Marianne and have not seen her since high school, just over 37 years ago, but I have never forgotten her. She is one of the few people from school or days back then that I can picture in my mind exactly how she looked every time I saw her; and that is with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She was always so sweet, kind, and friendly. I know her loss is painful, and I just wanted you to know that she is remembered with fondness by her classmates as well.

    I grew up behind Marianne. Her and I were childhood friends. I am going miss seeing her around town. Her brother Randy and I graduated together. Her sister Linda, we visit and talk at the place we have trailers. A very good family to grow up with.     I was saddened to hear about Marianne. I grew up down the street from the McKinzie family and Marianne was fun to be around. We had some fun times back then.     SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT MARIANNE. BEFORE YOU WERE BORN THEY WERE OUR NEIGHBORS ON MEREDITH ST. I USED TO BABYSIT SHE AND RANDY WHEN YOUR MOM WORKED AT THE GROCERY STORE. SO SAD TO THINK THEY ARE BOTH GONE. JUST REMEMBER SHE IS AT PEACE, FREE OF PAIN, AND IN A WONDERFUL PLACE. MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU.

    To the entire McKinzie family, I am at a loss for words right now. Very sad to hear of Marianne’s passing.
    Anyone that knew Marianne, knew she loved Lacy, those grand babies and her family!
