Marianne Davis, 88, of Frankfort, died January 24, 2021 at I.U. Arnett Hospital, Lafayette, Ind. She was born March 11, 1932 in Indianapolis, Ind. to Cecil & Wilma (Strong) Young. She married Robert L. Davis on September 14, 1950 in Frankfort and he preceded her in death on September 15, 2019.
Marianne was a 1950 graduate of Frankfort High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the OES Clinton Chapter #6 for over 50 years.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Young’s Chapel Ladies Aide, c/o Young’s Chapel Christian Church, 2341 CR 550 N, Crawfordsville, IN 47933. Out of respect for the health, safety, and comfort of all in attendance, guests will be expected to adhere to current CDC guidelines regarding appropriate social distancing and the wearing of masks.

Son: Kim A. (Carol) Davis of rural Frankfort, Daughter: Linda S. (Frank) Phillips of Brazil, 2 Sisters: Carolyn Wheeler of rural Frankfort and Barbara Harvey of Frankfort, 2 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, C. Maxine Yates and a brother Cecil Lynn Young.
Kim and Linda,
Your mom was one in a million. I can hear her laughter still to this day as she tried to kill me on a knee board being pulled behind your boat in Mattoon, Il. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I’m quite sure she and your dad are enjoying their reunion in heaven.
