Facebook Twitter GoogleI met “Baker” when I worked night switchboard at Witham Hospital in 1996. She would always stop by my desk on her “rounds” and tell me jokes and ask how school was going for me. When I graduated from college and was leaving my job at Witham, she gave me a Boyds Bear figurine (my first one) with the saying “a journey…begins with a single step.” I still have the figurine and have collected them ever since. Baker was a great woman and I am very sad to hear of her passing.
