Maggie Ann Compton Teter, 44, of Frankfort, died March 16, 2023 at the home of her mother.  She was born December 16, 1978 in Frankfort to Charles David Compton & Joyce Ann (Hemmerling) Wire.  She married Edward “Pete” Teter on October 16, 1999 and he survives.

Maggie was a 1997 graduate of Sullivan High School in Sullivan, Ind.  She had worked for Clinton County Hospital and Clinton House Health & Rehabilitation. She was a past member of the Moose Lodge and had worked there parttime.  Maggie was also in a bowling league. She enjoyed traveling with her family.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. March 25, 2023 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Goodwin Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.

    Our family is very saddened to hear the news of Maggie’s passing. She was a kind soul and was always nothing but nice to all of us. Gone way too soon. We know she will be missed by many.     Me and my family lived across from Maggie and her family and she was always so nice to me. I remember she would let us come over and play the Xbox while Aubrey and Payton were at school. I am praying for your whole family. I love you guys!

    Mike and I and our children are so saddened to hear of Maggie’s passing. You guys were such amazing neighbors when you lived across the street from us, and our kids loved her so much.     To the family of Maggie Ann Compton. You all have all been in my thoughts and prayers for the last days! I’ve known her as baby Maggie, as teenager Maggie, and mom of Aubrey and Payton Maggie! Maggie will be so missed by all who truly loved her!! Maggie,thank you for the privilege of letting me teach Aubrey swim lessons, You told me you trusted me with her! You always made me feel special! I will miss seeing you here, but love knowing I will see you again some day! To Joyce and David I know this is the hardest thing you both will endure. I hope our creator holds you guys up every time you are in need Take care of your beautiful family that you have been blessed with and look for Maggie in all things we see daily, she will be there!     Our deepest condolences to my good friend and his family. I still have the memory of Maggie visiting me in Bethlehem, PA where she and her sister went swimming in the indoor pool, but the heater wasn’t working. They swam until their lips were blue.

Through all the years of my involvement in the Jaycee’s and Junior Miss I enjoyed working with Pete and getting to know Maggie through those interactions.     I am so sad to hear this news! Our girls practically grew up together dancing for years! Maggie was always sweet and friendly to me! Her green beans were the best when she cooked at the hospital! I pray she is now at peace and pain free!
