Facebook Twitter GoogleMy condolences to the family for your great loss. Like so many others, I knew Lucy to be a kind & happy soul. I’d like to share a fun memory of how I met her. I first met Lucy in my late 20s while visiting the Avenue bar on Washington Ave. She would be sitting at the bar playing Texas Holdem on one of the machines. She would order buttery n***** shots for herself and others. She would dance with us later on the dance floor to many classic rock songs. I can still see her dancing in my mind. Her smile was infectious. It was a pleasure to see someone so full of life enjoying their later years. It was a big lesson to me at that time and still is. I still want to be like Lucy in my twilight years – soaking up life in all crevices. I only wish I knew her longer. Again, I send my condolences to her family. May you find comfort in all memories of this unique woman.
