Lois Jene Harper

Lois Jene Harper 94 of Frankfort, IN, died at 2:45 p.m. March 3, 2012 at Wesley Manor, Frankfort. Born January 23, 1918 in Jackson Township, Clinton County to Wilbur Glenn & Nell Elizabeth (Boys) Robertson. She married Harold Edwin Harper in Castle Rock, CO and he preceded her in death on April 15, 1974. Mrs. Harper was a graduate of Michigantown High School and a graduate of Central Normal College, where she received her teaching certificate. She then earned her Master’s Degree from Butler University. She taught at Michigantown Schools, Rossville Elementary and Oaklandon for a total of 29 years. Mrs. Harper was a member of the First Christian Church. She loved to read and oil paint.

Visitation and Services

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Green Lawn Cemetery Chapel of Peace. Pastor Pam McCall will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Donations may be made to the First Christian Church.

One Daughter: Anne Elizabeth (Jake) Smith of Indianapolis Sister in Law: Becky Robertson of Florida Nephew: Gary Robertson of Mulberry Great Nephew: Tucker Robertson of Florida

Preceded by:

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, George Robertson and sister-in-law, Mary Robertson.

    Many fond memories of a gracious, lovely lady. Mrs. Harper was my first grade teacher at Michigantown.
