Lillian Fuller

December 24, 2018

Lillian Edith Fuller, 93, of Frankfort, went home to be with her Savior on December 24, 2018 at Wesley Manor Retirement Community.  She was born on June 11, 1925 in Paterson, NJ to Lambert Ambrose and Jesse (Steenstra) Petzinger.  She married Richard H. Fuller on July 1, 1950 and he survives.  She graduated from Eastern Christian High School in New Jersey and Wheaton College in Illinois.  She was a high school science teacher before retiring to focus on family.  Lillian will be remembered by her family as a loving mother and grandmother, a devoted Christ follower, a diligent student of the Bible, a faithful prayer warrior, a kind and wise counselor and a joyful observer of all aspects of God’s creation.  She taught women’s Bible studies for decades, bringing practical applications of God’s word to several generations.  In retirement, Lillian and Richard found great joy in serving as grandparents for the Royal Family Kids Camp sponsored by the Houghton Wesleyan Church in New York, a ministry to abused and neglected children.  She loved to sew and made her own clothes throughout much of her life.  Her quilts and quilted wall hangings are treasured by family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to Royal Family Kids Camp,

Lillian Fuller was a remarkable woman who treated me as a genuine friend despite the many years difference in our ages. She prayed for me at pivotal moments in my life and helped me to focus on Christ. She also sewed neckties for me! The world is poorer for her departure, but the Kingdom of Heaven is richer! I am praying for God’s great comfort to be with all her wonderful family members who are grieving.
