Lela Jo Camp

Lela Jo Camp 64 of Frankfort, IN, died at 11:56 a.m. November 24, 2010 at her home. Born July 8, 1946 in Frankfort, IN to Franklin Clifford & Hannah Kathleen (Smith) Camp. Ms. Camp was a 1964 graduate of Clinton Prairie High School. She attended House of James Beauty College, Indiana Business College and was a graduate of Ivy Tech with an associate RN degree. A lifelong Clinton County resident, she worked at Unilectic for 16 years, was a CAN, QMA, LPN and RN at several nursing homes in Clinton County for 11 years, retiring in 2001. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, American Legion Auxiliary and the Women of Moose.

Visitation and Services

Friends may call from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Monday November 29, 2010 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2056 E. Wabash St. Frankfort, IN. Service there will follow at 2 p.m. with internment in Bunnell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Cancer Fund, envelopes will be available.

3 Sisters: G. Dianne Rice of Frankfort, Kathy E. Camp of Frankfort and Jenny A. Harris (Mike) of Frankfort 3 Brothers: Larry E. Camp (Josalee) of New London, IN, Ted Camp (Sandy) of Tipton and Lyle S. Camp (Julie) of rural Frankfort Several nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews survive

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, brother-in-law, Jim Rice and sister-in-law, Shirley Camp.

    I know you have lost a dearly loved sister. I have lost a DEAR FRIEND. I have many many fun memories with Jo. I know she will be missed by all of us. Even though she is in a better place, she has sure left this place with a deep empty hole. Again so sorry for your loss.

    I had the pleasure of working with Jo at the Frankfort Nursing Home, she was a very caring person. Jo’s work on earth may be done, but her work to serve God is just starting. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. God Bless!

    Just heard of Jo, my heart is aching, was out of town and just got the news of her passing. My heart and prayers will be with you all today. Jo was wonderful with our Crossing Class last year, Nutrition and Wellness, she poured herself and love in to each of the girls. I am at work or I would be with you today. All my love and prayers,
