Lavern Tyree 95, former Frankfort resident, died at 2:45 a.m. November 29, 2015 at Parkwood in Lebanon. Born October 14, 1920 in Barren County, Kentucky to the late Delma & Mary Lillie (Bridges) Kinslow. Lavern retired from Unielectric and also worked at The Cigar Factory both in Frankfort. She lived in Frankfort most of her life and was of the Baptist Faith.
Visitation and Services
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Goodwin Funeral Home with the services to follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery, Colfax, IN. Those wishing to donate in memory of Lavern may give to the Signature Healthcare at Parkwood (Activities Fund), 1001 N. Grant St., Lebanon, IN 46052.

3 Daughters: Dorothy (Husband Paul) Kincaid of Jamestown, Mary (Husband Jackie) Maddox of Lebanon, Ruth Ann (Husband James) Tyler of Lebanon, 1 Son: Bill Tyree of Lebanon, Sister: Mary Ellen Ferguson of Floyd Knobbs, IN, 23 Grandchildren and several Great and Great Great Grandchildren.

2 sons, James Tyree and Jerry Wayne Tyree, 2 daughters, infant Patsy Ellen Tyree and Evelyn L. Neese and 11 brothers & sisters.
Hello. I’m not sure if we have ever meet or not or if we are relatives or not but I have just seen this on my fb and am sorry to hear this either way. Bet she had a lot of fun in 95 yrs.

I haven’t kept in touch the last few years, but our family has many fond memories of Lavern. She was like a grandmother to my children.
